3.1 Company Overview
The Forest label is owned by Target Fashion Sdn. Bhd. The Forest sports and casual wear collection caters to individuals who are confident, creative and contemporary. The collection is designed specifically to appeal to those who have no fear of individuality and who strongly believe in expressing their personality through fashion. Forest strives to be in leader in high quality and durable sports and casual wear produced in Malaysia.
Customers choose Forest for its bold and innovative designs, competitive pricing, quality materials and the attentive service they receive from the company’s service staffs that are groomed to handle any customer enquiry or request with a professional flair.
Every Forest garment carries with a story of conception, design, quality technology and perfection. Its collection is designed by a team of experienced designers with impeccable sense of fashion and understands market trends.

3.2.1 The Market
The company has three retail outlets and 150 consignment outlets, in all states in Malaysia. These consignment outlets are in major departmental stores and shopping centre, namely Jaya Jusco Stores, Parkson Corporation, The Store Sdn. Bhd., Sogo Pernas Departmental Store, Fajar Retail Department, Pacific Hypermarket, Bintang Supermarket and Billion Shopping Centre.

 3.3 Company History
The Forest label is owned by Target Fashion Sdn. Bhd. which was incorporated in February 1980. The company immediately commenced operations as garment manufacturer in its rented shophouse in Taman Maluri, Kuala Lumpur. The company initially manufactured men’s clothing and produced the goods as and when the orders were received from its customers.
After the recession in 1985, the company decided to manufacture and trade in unisex sports and casual wear. It also expanded its target market to include all ages and launched its own house brand Forest. Following the success of the launch, Forest products were then distributed to various departmental stores and shopping complexes.
The company’s business grew mainly through consignment sales and outright sales to major customers.
In 1997, to accommodate the company’s steady expansion, Target Fashion shifted it s operation to its own office cum warehouse in Desa Tun Razak Industrial Park, Kuala Lumpur. It is from this location that all Forest products are manufactured and distributed to its network of departmental stores and shopping complexes.
Forest has been established brand name in Malaysia for 25 years and is now one of the leading apparel brands in the market with a growing customer base.
Forest registered its trademark in November 1985. It received the Sogo Million Club - Annual Best Sales Achievement award in year 2003,2004,2005 and 2006, Superbrands award in Malaysia in year 2005,and Super Excellent Brand award in year 2006 and 2007.
